I was born on the 28th August 1937 in Jabrail town of Jarbail district, Azerbaijan Republic. In 1944-1945 I went to first grade elementary school of my home town. In 1945-1946 I continued my school education in Novoshakhtinst settlement of Rostov region and finished my first year school education there. After World War II my father worked in a coal mine there. He took me with him to give me the opportunity to learn the Russian language. Image In later years since moving to Azerbaijan I continued my school education in my home country. In 1952 after graduating from secondary school (the 7th grade) I entered Medical Vocational School of Lenkoran town and graduated in 1955 from there. After working for four years on different positions in medical institutions of Imishli district and Baku city's Biledjeri settlement I was called up for military service in 1959. After retirement from military in 1962 I entered Azerbaijan State Medical Institute's treatment and prophylaxes faculty. After graduating from the institute I started my work as a hospital physician in Mental Hospital # 2 of Baku city. Image Two years later since the start of my hospital physician career in 1970 I moved to a lecturer position in psychiatry department of Azerbaijan State Medical Institute. I have been working there since then (from 1985 as a professor of the department). I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My farther, Ismayilov Vedan Meshedi Ismayil oglu, was cinema culture promotion worker (cinema operator and club director). My mother, Ismayilova Zergelem Ferzali gizi, worked the kindergarten until her retirement as a teacher and a director.
